On Tuesday, November 15th, both Sheriff Steve Wilson and Tax Commissioner Carolyn Walker switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party. The Walker County Republican Party welcomes them and is glad to have them on our team! Message from GAGOP Chairman Sue Everhart.

Disaster Relief Efforts
Tornadoes hit Walker, Catoosa, Dade, and other counties in the Chattanooga metro region on April 27th. Please pray for those who lost loved ones and homes in this disaster. If you would like to help, you can go by Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church (90 Nick-a-Jack Ln. Flintstone, GA; Phone: 706-820-1911) to drop off supplies such as water, non-perishable goods, and clothing or to volunteer for clean up efforts. You may also make a monetary donation through the Northwest Georgia Red Cross or the Chattanooga Salvation Army. Please indicate that you want your donation to be used for the tornado relief efforts in Northwest Georgia. If you need FEMA assistance, you can go to DisasterAssistance.gov for more information and to apply.
